Me being happy after not having batteries in my camera to take pictures for like two months (NO I AM NOT POOPING!!! XD) |
Alrighty, how is everyone doing over
there?? My mom told me that my Brothers Ian, Colton, and my sister Janica are
going skydiving this week.... Everyone is going crazy over there or something!
Anyways, this week was pretty cool,
we pretty much had a miracle occur with a baptism this week. There was an
investigator in our are named Yadi Silva, and she had been listening to the
missionaries and attending church since January. So she had a lot of what she
needed to be baptized, but she had some things that she had to change that were
really hard for her. We were teaching her and she was doing good, and she
seemed to us that if she just made those changes that she could be baptized.
So, this last Monday we went through the baptismal interview questions with her
to see if there was anything she lacked before baptism.
We went through the questions, and
she didn't have a problem with any of them. She told us how she had been
praying a lot that God would help her out with her work (because she lives
alone and has to work) and help her change those things, and that God had
answered her prayers and had given her everything that she had asked Him for.
So she told us that if God loved her so much, the least she could do was leave
her past behind and give as much back as she could of her life to God. She told
us that she had made those changes that she needed and that she wanted to get
baptized the 10th! So she had her interview and boom, she was ready for baptism!
It was a really cool thing to see, I know that God can change the hearts of
people because He did it with Yadi, and she was baptized! Super cool!
Also, there were transfers this
week! And Elder Marques left, and I am going to be a Dad!!! That’s right, tomorrow
I will get to know who will be my son, and most likely my last companion in the
mission! I am super pumped!! We pretty much have nothing to go on in the area
right now, we desperately need new people to teach, and so I am so very excited
to get to talk to EVERYONE with my son and to get some work done! I can't wait
to see what I can learn with a brand new missionary, I have a feeling that it
is going to be an experience that I won’t forget.
So yeah, I am pumped for this week
and to see the things that we can do in Campiña!
Love,
Elder Kendall
P.S. HURRAH FOR ISRAEL!
